Today’s game, as all premiere games, beting-wise are very difficult. CSKA, of course are the favorites with
the odds at 1,30 – 1,35
being very low, as Zalgiris is a
fighting team and very dangerous team in their home court arena.
CSKA though has very tall front court for the relatively small rotation
of big men of the Lithuanian Championsand they can press their advantage there very easily.
If Zalgiris does not go into a high rate game and don’t shoot with high percentage
in the thee pointers,they
are in a bad position.
Of course the handicap of 6 points is tricky, as CSKA is not yet ready to play in top condition, as they seek team chemistry, as it
was clearly evident in the Spartak SP game.
Just to remind you in lasts years opening night we had big blow outs, with 32 points Siena and Cholet (!), the +16 of Caja with Barcelona, Maccabi (!) and Olympiakos with Real and the suprising loss of Efes at
Olympia and most of all Milano in Moscow with CSKA
with 88-73!
Considering all these we go with the win of CSKA and the marginal -6. We
don’t bother with the under/over, especially in the opening game, and
because CSKA now scores a lot more since thy have Kazlauskas at their bench. Good
