Bilbao – Real
This is the big game in the Spanish League. Bilbao of the of the Greek Coach Fotis Katsikaris and Greek players Vasileiadis,
Mavroidis, and Kakiouzis who did not play. They lost to Alicante in the opening night and there is controversy because they have a good roster but
they are not ready yet.
Lets not forget their
loss to the Spanish Super Cup from Caja Laboral (88-93). Coach Katsikaris has a
lot of work to do in getting the team ready as they lack consistency.
Hervelle is out and Lopez not in good shape. In they point gurd they have a problem also
with Jackson’s
ups and downs. Mavroidis is out and Vasileiadis is doubtful.
The good news is that they will have 8.000 fans at their side. Bilbao‘s defense is not as good as last
year’s and they have many dry spells during the game which cost them a lot.
Real has Rudy ready to play (12 points) and beat Fuenlabrada
with good rotation in their line up. Generally they are in good condition and
they want to win this game to show they will be big contenders for the title. Laso the Real coach uses his
roster very well. They are the favorites given the situation and certainly the
odds of 1,60 are low.
Valladolid – Gipuzkoa
Valladolid will play!
They did not play in the opening night due to FIBA restrictions with the signing of Bagaric and
Toure. All this happens due to economic problems.
The team has changed a
lot and theywill not be last years’ surprising team. They have a big problem offensively Gipuzkoa on the other side started with a pure performance and with Papamakarios scoreless.
With no team chemistry they lost to newcomers Obradoiro.
Last season they were surprising god in away games but this year they have problems in offense and chemistry. We are considering picking
Gipuzkoa with +5 and under with 147.
